Love conquers fear

I love this story.

I love that God is doing something beautiful in the aftermath of tragedy.

I love the confirmation that love conquers fear, that pain can ultimately strengthen our faith, and that our great God truly works ALL things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.

Evil is always lurking in our schools, which have become frightening and dangerous places at times. But we can't allow ourselves to dwell on the possibility of tragedy and allow the sad stories on TV to shake our confidence. We can choose where to set our minds and hearts.

When we see heartache and injustice in our schools, it is always our choice to respond out of fear or out of love. Fear will close us off to others, shut us down, and prevent us from accomplishing what God has called us to do.

Choosing to act out of love allows us to live passionately. It allows us to serve God whole-heartedly and see every opportunity He has planned for us to make a difference in our classrooms.

Good conquers evil, and love conquers fear.

The Lord is our light and our salvation; whom then shall we fear? (Ps 27:1)
